Trace cross-docking errors through process records

Record wrong vehicle, missing pallet, mixed regime and damage separately; choose fixes at the point of failure.

Short answer

At scan time, match each pallet to dispatch order, destination and vehicle; route an unreadable label to an exception check instead of guessing. Record inbound, transfer and outbound times, count, product regime, damage and shift handover. Review weekly exceptions by failure type and process step; assign a marking, data-flow or training fix based on evidence.

In cross-docking, errors arise when pallet identity, destination, count or condition is lost in the flow. Attach records to each handover point.

Misrouting

Match scanned pallet code to dispatch order, destination door and vehicle. Send unreadable or conflicting labels to an exception area; do not guess.

Count and damage

Compare inbound and outbound scans; note at which step a short or extra pallet was found. Link damage photo, time and transferring party to the same record.
