CE marking, a declaration of conformity and product-performance documents answer different questions. The file required for a transport container must be checked against product function and applicable legislation scope.
Read the document's scope. Match manufacturer, model and any serial range to the document rather than relying on a generic product name. Check who issued the declaration, which legislation or standard it cites, and which variant it covers.
Do not confuse document types
The European Commission says CE marking is used for products covered by relevant EU harmonisation legislation and must not be applied outside that scope. It does not mean an EU body approved the product or show that it was made in the EU. A declaration of conformity is the manufacturer's declaration against applicable legislation; food-contact and ATP documents address separate scopes.
