Establish product requirements
Verify the approved storage and transport range, possible freeze sensitivity and allowed packout from the quality file.
Verify the plate model
Obtain the manufacturer's model code, phase-change point, capacity data, conditioning method and reuse instructions.
Compare product requirements with plate documentation. Colour, shape or a similar product name does not prove technical fit.
Demonstrate compatibility in a trial
Record plate conditioning, placement and product-sensor readings in a representative load and container arrangement.
Match loading, route, dwell and opening conditions to the planned use.
Have the quality owner assess the result against approved product criteria.
Reverify fit for a different product, plate model or loading pattern.
