Equipment damage, theft and damage to transported goods may have different coverage and contract conditions. Check policy wording and endorsements; do not infer cover from a general description.
Tell the insurer asset types such as containers, plates, shelves and freezers, quantities and valuation method. Ask explicitly about presence at customer sites, in vehicles or outdoors.
Review exclusions and conditions for theft, accident, misuse, wear, loss and third-party liability separately. Verify deductibles and notification deadlines in the policy.
Keep serial or container IDs, photos, purchase records and handover logs in the evidence format the insurer requires; confirm that format with them.
If an event affects both equipment and goods, clarify the required notice and evidence for each with the insurer. Follow safety and incident procedures when documenting damage.
At renewal, update inventory, workflow and locations. This is not a coverage interpretation; binding cover is set by the policy and written insurer confirmation.
