Marine fish caught in 2025 came to 346,366 tonnes, of which 245,261 tonnes, about 71 %, was anchovy. That tonnage does not spread over the year: purse-seining is banned in the Black Sea and Marmara from 15 April to 31 August (Communique 2024/20, Article 12), anchovy is seined between 15:00 and 09:00 (Article 19), and landings pile up towards the morning.
Crates for carrying anchovy, horse mackerel and sardine may measure at most 54 x 9 x 37 cm outside (foot 11 cm), and boxes at most 59 x 13 x 39 cm. The base for the peak is last season's busiest seven days: keep landing time, daily tonnage, waiting lots and missing containers on one sheet. Buy the base need and cover the peak difference with seasonal rental.
At the peak the most expensive item is fish that waits. The sealed tray in the floor of the GEBHARDT Isotec TBX Seafood collects 18-24 litres of melt water depending on the model and is emptied through a rear valve.
