Environmental criteria in a tender vary by buyer and the service being procured. Start with the exact specification; do not assume every buyer requests the same packaging data or that it outranks price.
Turn the question into measurable fields
For a packaging criterion, ask which material, product or shipment unit is in scope. Confirm the unit, reporting period, how returnables are counted and what evidence is accepted. If greenhouse-gas data is requested, clarify the boundary and calculation method with the buyer.
Show the source for each value
Link weight to a weighing record or supplier specification; shipment count to dispatch data; and accepted returnables to handover and return logs. Do not invent recycled content, reuse rates or emissions that have not been measured. State any estimate’s method and scope.
In the bid appendix, show the data owner, measurement period, unit and evidence file. Clarify any mismatch with the buyer’s requested format before submitting.
