Do not assume every spare, including castors and gaskets, fits the same equipment. Match equipment code to part code, material or dimension description, price, stock status and lead time in writing on the purchase quote.
Ask whether replacement is done on site or by service and which tools are needed. Check warranty scope and wear exclusions in the purchase documents; do not treat a similar-looking part as compatible.
Justify initial stock from planned use and downtime impact rather than a fixed ratio. Record which part is replaced on which unit, then base replenishment on actual consumption and a current quote.
