Hygiene checks should rely on material instructions and a verified cleaning process, not a surface label or glossy appearance.
Identify the material
File manufacturer/model information for body, inner tray, gasket, shelves and coating.
Compare chemical, concentration, contact time and mechanical method with manufacturer instructions and the site hygiene plan.
Inspect after cleaning. Check corners, joints, drainage, gasket channel and scratches or cracks on one checklist.
If residue, odour or damage appears, record its location and request repeat cleaning or technical review.
Create a verification record
Link cleaning date, operator, method, inspection result and corrective action to the container or lot ID.
If swab or another verification method is required, use sample locations and acceptance criteria from the site risk plan.
An authorized owner under product and site procedures should decide whether to remove it from use.
