Does an insulated transport container need pre-cooling?

Decide on preconditioning from model instructions, loading process and measured trials, not a fixed time assumption.

Short answer

Check whether the container and plate instructions require preconditioning; treat product pre-cooling and container preparation as separate processes. If required, define the condition and measurement point in the procedure. In a trial, record starting container measurement, loading time and route data, then assess results against product criteria.

Pre-cooling is not identical for every container or product flow. Review container and plate instructions separately from the product loading procedure.

If the procedure requires preconditioning, define the target state, measurement point and pre-load check. Do not confuse product temperature with container preparation.

For a comparison trial, record starting condition, loading time, lid openings and route data. The responsible person should assess the product result against approved acceptance criteria.
