Appearance alone does not verify a container's function after a drop. First document the incident conditions, then follow inspection criteria in the model manufacturer's instructions.

Describe the incident. Record container ID, model, empty or loaded condition, impact direction, floor surface and observed points. If carrying product, remove it safely and inspect it separately; link the incident record to the shipment.

Check functional components

Look for cracks or separation in the body and corners, lid distortion, latch failure, torn seals and damage to any drain area. Check closure and apply the functional checks in the model-specific service procedure.

If damage or uncertainty remains, take the container out of service and consult qualified service. Testing should use only the manufacturer's stated method, sample setup and safety controls; an arbitrary height or impact result is not a rating.
