A brand on a container is visible to customers; it does not by itself prove reduced losses or increased sales. Define the tracking need and measurable outcome first.
Establish current loss data
Track container ID, customer, route, dispatch and return dates. Record missing or misrouted containers during a pre-branding period.
Verify model and surface
Get the maker's guidance on permitted marking area, print method and cleaning compatibility for the exact model. Do not mark a food-contact surface; confirm product instructions and hygiene procedure.
Run a small pilot
Check legibility on selected units after dispatch, washing and reuse. Track movement by ID and compare loss and misrouting data with the baseline period.
Decide from actual value
Assess brand visibility, container returns and marking cost separately. Do not claim savings or advertising returns without supporting data.
