How to verify what a door thermometer shows

Do not assume the display is product temperature or a trip record. Verify its sensing point, device documentation and comparison with a reference.

First check the exact container model documentation for the indicator's sensing point and whether it records data. Under stable conditions, compare it with a verified reference at the same point and log the difference. Do not use the display alone for product acceptance; follow the product's measurement and decision procedure.

GEBHARDT says the optional external thermometer for the Isotec TBX displays the temperature inside the container. Check the exact model document for display location and sensing point; the reading is not product core temperature.

Under the applicable procedure, place a reference device at the same point under stable conditions and record both readings and device IDs. If they differ, follow calibration or service steps.
