The person who notices an excursion may differ from the person who decides product disposition. A useful flow gets the alert to an authorised owner and prevents drivers or receiving staff from guessing about suitability.
Write a three-step contact path. Show who starts the alert, the primary quality contact and a backup if there is no response. Take the interim step from product and site procedures; do not invent a generic threshold or automatic disposal rule.
Preserve product identity, device data and shipment location during escalation. The authorised quality owner should decide release, redirection or rejection under the approved product instruction.
