Goods delivery and reusable-container movement can happen together but need distinct records.
Show order, goods description and quantity on the delivery document.
Link recipient acceptance or delivery confirmation to that order.
Open a separate inventory record for container movement.
Record unit ID, handoff time and recipient.
Log location and observed container condition.
If return is expected, schedule a follow-up event.
Take the expected return date from the contract or operating flow.
If it stays with the customer, name location confirmer and next follow-up owner.
When retrieved, verify the ID again on the return record.
For an exchange, record outgoing and incoming containers by separate IDs.
Add photos and event time for damage or loss findings.
Do not confuse goods quantity on the delivery note with container count.
Use a shared order or delivery reference to link both records.
Verify ownership and charges from the parties' contract.
Do not let the courier decide fees or liability on their own.
At shift end reconcile containers outside with movement records.
