Suitability on a tail lift is not determined by one kilogram figure. Check lift model, load centre, platform dimensions, vehicle position and container weight distribution together.
Verify lift identity and load
Read the lift's identification and capacity information; locate the manufacturer's load diagram. Add tare, product, plates and other equipment going onto the platform. Compare the load's actual position on the platform with the diagram's conditions.
Compare container base dimensions with the platform and vehicle parking gradient with the relevant operating instructions. Apply safety lip, castor brake, operator position and any strap or stop steps for that model; do not generalize one lift's sequence to another.
UK HSE guidance identifies roll cages falling from lifts, pushing or pulling on slopes, overturning and hand or foot trapping as hazards; it recommends controlled movement, appropriate loading and castor maintenance. This workplace-safety source is not Turkish law and does not specify this lift's capacity.
Stop and get technical confirmation if uncertain
If capacity label is unreadable or load centre or ground conditions are unclear, do not test by increasing load stepwise. Consult the technical owner before lifting; provide lift ID, loaded container weight, base dimensions and planned position. Measure actual task duration separately in the route record.
