Unattended delivery depends on product, location, recipient instructions and delivery contract. Do not present doorstep drop-off as a universal solution.

Verify instructions before dispatch

Record the recipient's unattended-delivery choice, accepted location and notification channel. Check whether product procedures permit it.

Assess the drop location. Consider access, security, shade/enclosure and whether the product can be held as required. A photo shows the drop location, not product condition.

Use an alternative if conditions fail

Plan controlled holding, redelivery or return; identify the decision owner and customer notification. Do not leave the parcel somewhere without authorisation.

Complete delivery evidence

Match time, location, recipient instructions, receiver or drop notification and product record. Handle responsibility and acceptance under the contract.
