Calculate temperature percentiles from a defined trip cohort

Fix the trip cohort, time basis and calculation method for percentile comparisons; the statistic alone is not a product decision.

Short answer

First define route, period, sampling interval and valid-record rules. Sort raw temperature samples in that cohort and calculate the chosen percentile with a stated method; also show maximum and time above the limit. Interpret it with the curve and event log.

An average can hide brief rises among cooler samples.

Fix the cohort

Use the same route, period, device and sampling interval; state the missing-record rule first.

Calculation record

Calculate median, chosen upper percentile, maximum and time above limit from the same trip dataset.

Interpretation boundary

Read the percentile with the curve, event time and product condition; it is not a conformity decision alone.
