Picnic and work-use packs may be designed for different conditions. Base the decision on the specific model documentation and a use trial, not the product label.

Match the technical specifications. Check phase-change range, dimensions, mass, holder fit and permitted cleaning in the model sheet. Do not assume undocumented properties.

Record use conditions

Keep preparation method, load, route, openings and product readings in the same trial record. Do not directly compare results when starting conditions differ.

Track damage and care

Record cracks, leaks, deformation and post-cleaning condition with photos and dates. Decide on repair or retirement under manufacturer instructions.

Run a small comparison

Test the candidate against the current pack on a similar load. Review product acceptance conditions, fit and labour time together; change only when a documented difference justifies it.
