If driver and receiver records differ, first confirm that both refer to the same delivery. Then calculate the gap and assess it with the measurement conditions.
Fields for matching
Both records should include delivery number, container or product ID, measurement time, device ID and measurement point.
Calculate a signed difference
For each delivery, subtract the driver's reading from the receiver's. Keep the plus or minus sign; show the direction and spread alongside the monthly mean.
Check condition differences
Check whether method, location, wait after opening and device status match. Do not label one device faulty before resolving unmatched fields.
Monthly view
State the number of matched deliveries and review gaps under the same conditions. Flag a small matched sample; do not generalize from one delivery.
The direction of the gap points to the condition to check.
A shared measurement instruction. Both parties should specify measurement point, timing and device use in the same instruction. Record its version and method on later deliveries.
Device comparison
If the difference persists, check the devices using the organization's verified comparison procedure. Attach the date, device IDs and result; do not improvise a reference.
