Plan room dimensions around both the stored goods and the equipment that moves them. Put the busiest day's load unit, rack and trolley on a simple sketch.
Test door passage, turns, staff access and cleaning space on the drawing. Get clearances for the evaporator and other equipment from the relevant maker's drawing; do not assume a universal dimension.
Mark out the plan on site before installation and try it with the usual trolley. Revise dimensions or flow if aisles narrow, racks become inaccessible or loads queue at the door.
