A half-full container does not behave like a small copy of a full load. As the product shrinks, the mass that holds heat gets smaller, the empty air volume grows, and outside air entering when the door opens shows more clearly in the record. Restraints fill voids but can also change the air path.
A qualification done for a full load therefore does not carry over to a light trip. For a separate trial, write down:
- Fill ratio and the zone the product occupies
- Restraint method
- Eutectic plate type, number and position (inside Isotec they sit on rails or grid floors)
- Sensor point: at the decision point, not hanging in empty air
The trial includes real door openings and dwell. GEBHARDT ties the time gained from plates to plate type and number; send us route, product and target temperature and we set up the plate plan for the light profile together.
