The pre-move check follows container, load and equipment instructions, not an assumed time.

Check the floor and access path

Is there a broken piece or loose block?

Are water, packaging or another container in the fork path?

Are floor and turning space suitable?

Clear the movement area under site rules.

Verify base and forks

Is a fork, castor or base visibly damaged?

Do not lift a cracked, crushed or loose base; report it. Check fork entry in the model manual.

Verify fork spacing and load limit on the label.

If load details or stability are unclear, stop and check container and truck capacities on labels/manuals.

After lifting

Check balance and path under site procedure; do not assume a universal test maneuver.

Set the load into travel position as the truck manual specifies.

Record new marks with container, truck and location; notify maintenance.

For repeated contact, review aisle layout as well as operator practice.

Use maintenance procedure to decide when damaged equipment returns to service.

Recheck fork entry and capacity when the model changes.
