Conditions for highland cheese depend on product, packaging and maker instructions. A narrow road or weather forecast alone does not decide equipment choice.
Assess vehicle and route profile
Record vehicle dimensions, road access, stops and loading time. Quote a refrigeration unit and insulated containers against the same route and payload.
Define the container's role. Prepare the container at the production site as instructed; secure product and coolant placement. Record lid openings and delivery time.
Compare dispatch conditions with the arrival record.
Apply product-specific acceptance. Use separate product files for fresh cheese, matured cheese, yoghurt and butter. If brine, leakage or shape changes are observed, photograph the lot and escalate to the quality lead.
Plan the return load. Record empty-container return time, cleaning location and readiness for reuse. Coordinate cleaning needs with return loads such as feed or packaging.

Compare route records
For several trips, log weather, waiting, product type and arrival readings on one form. Base equipment choice on your route profile, not assumption.
