Verify a driver handover against the form and the vehicle's actual condition.

Use one shared handover record.

Write the vehicle ID and incoming driver's name.

Do not estimate the container count; match each ID to the dispatch form.

Link each container to its planned stop.

List open deliveries, returns or issues awaiting the consignee.

Show where the latest reading or exception record is kept.

Choose lid, latch or load checks from vehicle and container instructions.

Record missing information as an exception instead of filling gaps verbally.

Complete these fields in the handover line.

Handover time, vehicle and driver identity.

Container IDs and planned stop order.

Open task, exception and location of its record.

Both drivers' acknowledgement or the site's accepted handover mark.

If ID or sequence differs at the first stop, record the correction with dispatch.

Use site procedure to decide whether to continue if information or checks are missing.

Name the owner of any unresolved item for the next shift.

Mark completed work separately and transfer open items.

The replacement driver can then rely on a current record rather than assumptions.
