Before opening the lid and starting to load, follow the site's hygiene and equipment inspection sequence.
Points to check
- Visible moisture, water or residue on the surface.
- Labels, tape or packaging left from the previous shipment.
- Shelves, rails and fasteners fitted as the model manual specifies.
- Identity of the plate to be installed and match with the dispatch plan.
Pause on findings. If moisture, spill or damage is found, record it with a photo and carrier ID.
Decide cleaning, drying and release under the site procedure; do not assume one rule for every surface.
If a label remains, remove old shipment data without mixing it with the new batch trace.
Have loose shelves or rails checked against the maker's instructions before loading.
Odour and appearance are not enough
Smell, colour or a dry appearance alone do not prove hygiene compliance or absence of chemical residue.
If uncertain, hold loading, alert quality and follow the approved verification step.
For cleaning chemicals, check label, SDS, hygiene plan and equipment compatibility together.
Plate and load record
Match plate identity to carrier and planned product needs; verify readiness under the model procedure.
If measurement is required, record sensor position, time and instrument ID under the procedure.
Show who performed the check, accepted any exception and released loading.
After a problem is corrected, record the recheck time and result.
Follow the local hygiene SOP for clean-area storage; do not treat an ajar lid as a universal solution.
Link the inspection record to the batch/carrier IDs in the dispatch file.
This check finds omissions; it does not replace a product safety assessment.
