Arrival time alone does not show that delivery is complete. Follow the contract and site procedure for consignee readiness and transfer of goods.
Confirm readiness. Ask whether the receiver, designated unloading area and required paperwork are ready.
If they are not ready
Record arrival and wait start on the trip record; contact dispatch for instructions.
Follow product requirements, model instructions and local SOP for lid and load handling.
Do not leave goods or mark delivery complete without authorised direction.
Partial readiness
Even if the receiver says ready, report missing space, staff or records to dispatch. Requirements can vary by run.
Keep arrival, wait, notification, response and departure times on the same trip record.
| Event | Field |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Time, location |
| Wait | Start, reason |
| Handover | Approval, reading, signature |
Close the delivery record. Complete required readings, recipient and paperwork steps under the product/SOP requirements. Report missing signatures or readings with an explanation.
Records and charges
If the contract defines a wait-time record or charge field, document actual times. Do not promise costs outside the contract.
Repeated delays. Report similar events by consignee and route. Give recorded examples to the operations owner when discussing an appointment or sequence change.
