After a delivery window is missed, check the product and records before discussing the commercial delay. Penalties and acceptance depend on contract and recipient procedure.
Record appointment time, site arrival, queue entry, dock acceptance and handoff separately. Add the cause, communication with the recipient and any rescheduled window.
During the wait, log where the product is, who holds custody and which container is used. Check logger operation and lid or seal status; timestamp access, readings or vehicle changes.
Before the new handoff, take the acceptance measurement required by product instructions. If the reading, logger trace or traceability is missing, segregate the product and consult quality; the driver should not decide acceptance or rejection alone.
Keep customer confirmation, contract window and delay clause, measurement file and handoff evidence together. Improve the next plan from actual waiting records; do not invent a fixed delay allowance.
