Find the manufacturer's model-specific inspection and rejection criteria first. If a plate is cracked, leaking, deformed, will not close properly, or linked to unexplained shipment deviations, quarantine it. Request a comparable trial or technical inspection against its baseline. The equipment owner should document replacement; do not assume a fixed service life.
Do not assume a universal service life for cooling plates. Replacement should follow model instructions, inspection findings and recorded performance.
Confirm identity and inspect body, closure or weld, leakage and shape changes against manufacturer criteria. Segregate any suspect unit from ready stock.
If performance is in question, compare old and replacement plates under the same load, preparation and route. Enter findings in the service log and have the owner approve replacement.
