The vehicle engine and an independent refrigeration unit may not share the same emissions data or regulatory category. Identify the engine and unit model before comparing records.

Keep programmes within their jurisdiction

CARB's transport refrigeration unit page describes California's programme; it does not establish another country's legal position.

Check the local rule

Ask for current official text against registration location, engine type, unit label and use; do not assume Turkish coverage or exemption.

Collect operating data. Keep dated records of unit identity, run hours, fuel quantity, route and operating mode.

Hours alone do not determine fuel use or pollutant quantity.

Compare technologies on the same work

Assess diesel, electric and vehicle-driven options against the same load and route requirements.

An emissions estimate also needs engine approval data, fuel and duty profile, plus an appropriate official method.

For a purchase decision, have a technical supplier verify cooling capacity and route performance too.
