Towing several containers in one trip is considered only when the tractor, couplings and every unit are compatible with that use. Check each model's instructions for towing approval, load and coupling limits; do not fill gaps by assumption.

Record actual loaded mass and container order, then walk the route. Identify tight turns, doors, gradients, floor transitions, pedestrian crossings and emergency stopping areas. Use an empty trial to see how train length affects turning and visibility.

With a trained, authorised operator, conduct a staged trial in a controlled area under site procedure. Inspect couplings as directed by the maker; record tracking, sway, wheel lift or loss of control on starts, turns and stops. Stop the trial if an issue appears.

Create an operating card only when equipment documents, site trial and owner approval agree. Reassess after a change to container order, tractor, load or route; take maintenance and inspection intervals from the relevant maker instructions.
