EPP is an insulation material made from expanded polypropylene. The material alone does not show what temperature the box can maintain or for how long; results depend on the plate, load, starting conditions, ambient conditions and openings.

Do not treat model dimensions as proof of capacity

The stated GEBHARDT Thermobox model measures 600 × 400 × 320 mm and has a 46 L volume. Those figures describe the physical product. They do not prove that it will maintain the required product conditions. Check internal load dimensions, stacking and compatibility of the selected plate separately.

Test the actual route

Prepare the product and plate under your own procedure. Use the actual load in the box and repeat the longest route, including waits and transfers; take suitable product readings at dispatch and arrival, and use a logger along the way if available. Set acceptance conditions from the product specification.

One route's result does not automatically apply to every load, season or opening pattern. Repeat the trial when conditions change.
