Temporary workers may join during a busy season. Assign container tasks according to demonstrated competence and the site's role definitions.
Tasks tied to authority
- Leave plate selection or replacement to an authorized worker when it requires a matching decision.
- Have deviation records assessed and closed by the person assigned in the SOP.
- Apply or remove quarantine tags according to the authority that controls product status.
Why the distinction matters
Product and equipment decisions need traceable records. Assign tasks by training, authority and process, not temporary status alone.
Tasks to start with. After required induction and oversight, a worker may take on tasks in their role, such as counting or moving an empty container to its designated area. Follow the site procedure.
Who supports them
Introduce the shift lead and an experienced contact for questions. Decide whether observation or accompaniment is needed based on the task and worker's ability.
The record side
Record training and task assignment. If a product deviation occurs, follow the relevant SOP's record and responsibility path.
A clear task boundary makes it easier to ask the right person at the right time.
Where the task list lives. List the task, authority and contact person. Explain it in a language the worker understands and keep it current.
What remains at season's end
Keep a training note of demonstrated tasks and practice needs. Recheck competence before later assignments.
