The first quality check is not the same for every business. Review product specifications, customer terms and applicable operating procedures to select the risk to control.

The check card should state the measurement point, method, tool, owner and record location. Cite the source for any numerical acceptance limit; do not copy a value that does not apply to the product or process.

Check that the measurement tool is suitable and in service. Observe a trial to see whether staff can use the same point and method consistently.

Define the response to a deviation in advance: hold the product, notify the responsible person, assess and recheck. Link the decision to an authorized person and relevant procedure.

Review early records and correct missing fields. If they show a recurring issue, investigate its cause; one measurement is not a general quality rating.

Once the check is practical and repeatable, add other key risks in turn. Make certification or conformity claims only with evidence for the relevant official scope.
