A glycol bottle attempts to imitate a defined thermal response using a chosen liquid and vessel. Do not assume it is equivalent to the actual product; validate by comparison.

Specify the simulator

Write the fluid, bottle material and volume, sensor position, starting condition and placement in the load into the procedure.

Compare with representative product

Measure simulator and product together with the same packaging and route conditions. Align start, stops, lid openings and handover times.

Monitor air events separately. A simulator may respond more slowly to short air fluctuations. Use a separate air sensor in a suitable location to investigate operational events.

Keep the scope narrow. Results apply only to the validated product, package, simulator and position. Repeat the comparison for a new load type; leave product suitability decisions to the authorized owner.
