How to read the scope of an equipment HACCP document

HACCP wording alone proves neither product approval nor an annual audit. Verify model, site, document date and scope from the current copy.

HACCP is a business's hazard-management plan; wording on an equipment document does not replace the operator's plan or establish product approval. In the current copy, check exact model, production site, covered use, issuer, date and audit terms; ask the document owner about gaps.

Find the scope, exact model and site, issuer, dates and stated assessment method in the document. If it covers a product series, confirm in writing that the quoted configuration falls within that boundary.

The operator's HACCP plan defines transport and cleaning steps for its own process. Compare the document's scope statement with the plan; do not count missing or unreadable lines as audit evidence, and ask the document owner to clarify.
