Grower, broker, and buyer receive the goods at different stages. If expectations are not written down, it may be unclear which measurement or waiting period should be reviewed when a quality issue arises. This does not automatically assign legal responsibility to one party.

For each handoff, define the delivery time, product and packaging details, temperature measurement method and location, and who manages any waiting lot. Set the temperature target from the product specification and the parties’ agreement. Also agree who notifies whom if a measurement falls outside the limit.

Match dispatch, market receipt, and buyer delivery records using the same lot identifier. In a dispute, review the records together with the specification and contract; do not present an equipment investment choice as an assumed responsibility.
