Stackability is not measured only by how many containers can be placed on top of each other. Use actual dimensions and the manufacturer manual to plan limits, access and empty returns safely.
Measure the warehouse layout. Compare container footprint and empty stack height with rack, pallet, doorway and aisle dimensions. Show usable space on a diagram.
Verify load limits
Check permitted stacking pattern and limit in the model manual. Separately confirm loaded weight, floor capacity and forklift or manual handling method with the facility owner.
Calculate the empty-return flow. Record empty containers returning per trip, vehicle interior dimensions and stacking arrangement. Compare current and proposed layouts on the same drawing; assess area use alongside picking access and reach.
