Why might a pallet-container base differ from a standard pallet?

Do not assume 800 × 1200 mm; compare the exact model drawing with warehouse, rack and handling space.

Short answer

A pallet base may not match a standard pallet on every model; 800 × 1200 mm cannot be generalized. Use the current drawing for the exact model and fit-out to obtain footprint, fork-entry direction and projections. Trial a floor template against rack, aisle and vehicle access; verify clearance with the site plan.

A pallet-container base does not have to match a standard pallet footprint. Verify the dimensions against the drawing for the exact body and pallet configuration.

For example, the manufacturer lists external width × depth as 797 × 1,200 mm for pallet TBX 900/1000/1070/1170 and 1,023 × 1,224 mm for TBX 1500. These are outer dimensions; get underside and fork-entry geometry from the exact drawing.

Tape the footprint on the floor and trial it at rack bays, aisles, doors and vehicle loading space. Check model instructions before adding another pallet or stacking.
