Why might a team not adopt container procedures?

Observe actual shifts, then work with staff to remove barriers and conflicting steps.

Short answer

Without blaming staff, observe container retrieval, loading, transport, handoff and return. Note where access, unclear instructions or workflow create friction. Trial fixes with the team and update the SOP and layout. Follow up on correct task performance and reasons for missing records, not training completion alone.

A procedure not being used does not by itself show unwillingness. Observe how the team retrieves, uses and returns equipment during a shift.

Ask staff to explain skipped steps and why. Record specific examples of layout, damaged equipment, timing or conflicting instructions.

Remove one barrier with the team and trial the revised instruction in the field. In a later observation, compare task performance, exceptions and record completion; assign a corrective owner.
