Another container and more plates may solve different bottlenecks. First measure capacity separately as usable product space, payload, trip plan and validated thermal performance.
Separate volume from thermal need
Use dispatch records for product quantity, container fill and weight; use sensor records for end-of-route profile. If space remains but product does not fit, inspect the layout. If the load fits but misses a tested acceptance profile, review the coolant setup.
Additional plates should be considered only if the exact model's rail, load and airflow limits and the product's validated configuration allow it. Also check freezer rack space, preparation time and reserve stock in shift records.
Compare options under the same service
Compare another round with the current container, an additional container and a manufacturer-approved plate configuration on the same route and load. Use actual invoices for purchase, cleaning, preparation, energy and labour. Record trial results separately; do not assume capacity has increased without a suitable result.
