Managing lid openings starts by deciding in advance which item is needed at each stop. Link the order, box layout and route sequence in one pick list.

Load compartments by stop sequence, placing the first delivery where it can be reached without holding the lid open. Any separate container or compartment must fit product instructions.

On a trial round, record each opening time, approximate duration, compartment accessed and stop. Keep logger location and load arrangement consistent when comparing records.

Note packaging and product condition after delivery, along with route, weather and waiting periods. Do not treat a difference on one round as universal for another day or load.

Put the better-performing layout in the packing instruction and brief shift staff. Review the arrangement again when the route or product order changes.
