Visually inspect the gasket daily and record defects; this alone does not validate insulation performance.

Clean dirt by the maker's method. When dry, check for cuts, cracks, displacement, compression and joint gaps.

Check lid warping, hinges and latch closure. Adjust only as the model instructions specify.

Use the same paper-strip thickness at fixed points. Uneven grip is a warning, not a leak test.

Record container ID, date, inspector, finding and action on the check form.

If damaged or not closing, mark the container and notify the responsible person. Follow maker instructions for repair and return to use.

After replacing a gasket, check seating and closure; repeat the site's dispatch check if its procedure requires it.
