Body volume alone does not show cooling demand. Insulation, door use, product starting temperature, ambient conditions and route duration also matter.
Collect body and load data
Record body model, insulation condition, door count and use, plus product type, mass and loading temperature.
Match capacity to catalogue conditions
For the exact unit model, find capacity data at the relevant operating temperature, ambient condition and engine speed; compare against the required load.
Do not assume cycling behaviour for an oversized or undersized unit without model data.
Add route variables
Use route records for stops, door openings, sun exposure and incoming product condition.
Adding passive containers or plates does not automatically allow a smaller unit; size the system together.
Have a technical owner verify the selection, then log temperature and operating data in real work.
Record setting changes one at a time and separately confirm the product's accepted range is maintained.
