The purchase price alone does not show whether equipment is expensive for a small business. Identify accessories, power or freezing infrastructure, wash space, storage, and staff time needed for a ready-to-use setup.
Check that existing freezer, power, space, and cleaning arrangements fit the relevant product and equipment instructions. Request setup and operating costs for missing infrastructure separately from the supplier quote.
Compare purchase, lease, and staged acquisition with quote dates and payment schedules. In monthly cash flow, distinguish revenue forecasts, confirmed orders, and existing fixed expenses.
If usage volume is not yet verified, define a trial period and success criteria in advance. Decide using cash reserves, measured order volume, and total operating cost; a low initial price is not necessarily a low total cost.
