If quotation, order and payment occur on different dates, state clearly who bears exchange-rate changes and how. Review the clause against the actual payment flow.
Separate price and payment currency
State the currency of the quotation and the currency in which the invoice is payable.
If they differ, specify the rate and date for conversion.
Name the rate source and applicable day in the contract.
Define the adjustment method
Specify which amount is recalculated when the rate changes and who gives written approval.
If there is a formula, threshold or sharing term, confirm both parties understand it alike.
If no condition is stated, do not assume one; ask whether the price is fixed.
Match the timeline and triggers
Show order, advance, dispatch, invoice and final due date on one calendar.
Check how quote validity, delivery delay and payment delay affect the price clause.
| Contract field | Written confirmation |

Build budget scenarios
Review the cash-flow effect of expected and changing-rate scenarios using business records.
Do not copy a generic exchange-rate band or sharing percentage.
Review before signing
Ask for clarification if source, date, calculation or responsible party is unclear.
Have an accountant or legal adviser review the current draft.
