According to MGM's 2025 assessment, the Türkiye mean temperature was 15.1 °C, which is 1.2 °C above the 1991-2020 normal of 13.9 °C and the fifth-warmest year in 55 years. July, at 26.9 °C, was the warmest July in that period, and summer, at 25.5 °C, ran 1.5 °C above its normal.
An annual average does not describe a route. The daily difference ranged from -8.7 to +10.3 °C, and 268 of 365 days were above normal. Heat gain into an insulated container is proportional to the difference between inside and outside. For a container held at +5 °C, a normal summer day of 24 °C gives a difference of 19 °C; a day 10 °C above normal, at 34 °C, gives 29 °C, and heat gain rises by about half.
One year is not a trend, but MGM has recorded an above-normal mean in every year since 2007 except 2011. For your route, note the station, the measurement period and the variable, and match the outside temperature of the same trip to the in-container record by timestamp; set the plate count from that record and a trial with the real load.
