If loading pauses for a break, do not leave until responsibility for the unit and product status is handed to a named person.
Handover details
State container/handling-unit ID, loaded and remaining case counts, and pick-list or order number.
Include lid, plate and logger status, last check time and any open alert in the record.
The incoming operator checks the count and physical status, then acknowledges the handover form.
Pausing the task. The local SOP and model instructions define lid position, load protection and restart conditions.
If no cover operator is available, mark the load and notify the shift supervisor; do not release product status by guesswork.
Resuming work
The receiving operator follows the instruction to finish loading and reconciles the total after the last case.
If there is delay or product-condition deviation, log time and action and request a quality disposition.
Continuity
Handover records show which shift and person owns open work, reducing repeated counts.
