Leaving a full container and collecting an empty one can be assessed only after measuring existing unloading waits and container-return flow. Record arrival, unloading start and finish, and departure at each customer stop.
Define a small customer pilot in writing. Identify every container and link drop-off/pickup times, seal and condition, time on customer premises, cleaning and return records. Agree where the container is held and who unloads the goods.
The contract or pilot addendum should assign ownership, damage, loss, cleaning, suitable storage, return and incident notification by party. At the end, compare actual waiting, route distance, extra-container needs and return cost with the baseline, then review results with the customer.
