Do not assume a fixed holding time in a parked vehicle. Measure the vehicle, container, load and parking conditions together to test the site's scenario.
Check product requirements and container instructions, then define a noncommercial trial load. Place sensors at product level in selected container positions; note each point and instrument ID on a sketch.
Take initial load and ambient readings. Timestamp parking location, shade or sun, vehicle orientation, window or door state, engine and refrigeration operation, and each access or opening event.
Compare logger traces by location; take a post-wait spot reading at the same point using the same method. If data is missing, a sensor drifts or results are unexpected, verify instrument and placement before interpreting the trial.
The trial applies to its product, vehicle and conditions. Obtain quality approval before applying results to commercial loads; do not conduct tests that put people or sensitive goods at risk.
