A plate's phase-change point alone does not determine the temperature experienced by a product. Product limits, plate and container properties, and packout must be assessed together.
Verify product and model data. Get transport conditions from the label or product instruction, and phase-change and preparation data from the plate supplier. Check fit with the container model, plate dimensions and placement. Do not copy values across generic product groups.
For example, the GEBHARDT table lists a -3 °C phase point for 1006919 and -21 °C for 0074699. These values do not guarantee product-core temperature.
Test the setup with a representative load. Fix starting condition, coolant preparation, product load and route steps under a written instruction. Verify a shipment with an appropriate product-level measurement; compare the record with the same product specification.
